How it works

From spark to synopsis to the last chapter

Bookh gives your book a spine before you write a word of prose — and you can rewrite any part of it at any time.

The spark

Tell Bookh your genre, themes, length and language — and, if you like, your cast and craft: point of view, tone, protagonist, antagonist and tense. Write your own premise, or let Bookh suggest a handful of vivid ones to choose from.

The synopsis

Your premise becomes a back-cover synopsis — the story told the way a jacket blurb would tell it, honouring the point of view and tense you picked.

The outline

A chapter outline with a real dramatic arc — setup, inciting incident, midpoint, climax, resolution — and scene beats under every chapter. Rename, reorder, add, delete or regenerate a single chapter.

The chapters

Draft and refine your prose in a full rich-text editor, chapter by chapter, with the Story Tools close at hand and your world remembered in the background.

Already halfway through a manuscript? Bookh has a path for books you’ve already started, too.

The Story Tools

Instruments for the long haul of a book

Tucked into a drawer beside your manuscript, ready when a scene needs them and out of the way when it doesn’t.

Living Lore Vault

Your characters, locations, items, events and lore, kept in one place the AI actually reads. As you write, Bookh notices new people and places and asks whether to remember them — no forms to fill in. The cast you sketch at the start is already waiting there when you open the editor.

Relationship Graph

Map how everyone in your world connects — ally, rival, sibling — with a sentiment from hostile to warm and notes like “secretly hates.”

Plot-Beat Canvas

Arrange the beats of your story by dragging them into order. Give each one a POV, a tension level from calm to breaking point, and the revelations the reader earns — then let Bookh draft from them.

Voice & Style

Share 3,000–5,000 words of your own writing and Bookh studies its rhythm — sentence length, dialogue density, active versus passive — so its suggestions sound like you, not like a machine.

Nudge

Stuck mid-sentence? Bookh offers a few faint words of ghost-text. Tab to continue, Enter to accept, Esc to wave it away. You stay in the driver’s seat.

Sensory Expander

Turn a flat moment into one the reader feels — through sight, smell, sound, touch, taste, or the quickening of a heartbeat.

Dialogue Naturalizer

Make stiff exchanges sound like real people talking — interruptions, hesitations and all.

“A co-pilot, not autopilot. Bookh offers; you decide. Keep a suggestion only when it sounds like you.”

The promise behind every Bookh tool.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does Bookh write my book for me?

No. Bookh is a co-pilot, not an autopilot. It suggests premises, a synopsis, an outline and the next few words when you’re stuck — but you decide what stays. Every suggestion is yours to keep, rewrite or dismiss.

Will the writing sound like me?

That’s the aim of Voice & Style. Share 3,000–5,000 words of your own writing and Bookh analyses its rhythm and tone — sentence length, dialogue density, active versus passive voice — so its suggestions follow your style.

What is the Living Lore Vault?

It’s where Bookh keeps your world: characters, locations, items, events and lore, plus a graph of how your characters relate. As you write, Bookh detects new lore and asks whether to remember it, so the AI stays consistent with what you’ve already established.

What kinds of writing is Bookh for?

Fiction novels, biography and memoir, screenplays and scripts, and short stories or essays. Book length can be set to a short story, novella, novel or series, and the chapter outline scales to match.

Can I export my manuscript?

Yes. Your manuscript can be exported to Word (DOCX), PDF and HTML.
